Our community commitment

All Jefferson County residents should have access to the best medical practices, treatments, and technology. Jefferson Healthcare is our award-winning, public health system, and the Foundation proudly supports JHC through fundraising, awareness, and relationship-building. Philanthropic support through the Foundation creates impact: you help patients find the care they need right here at home, where they can heal with their families, loved ones, and support networks nearby. 

And now, as Jefferson Healthcare prepares to modernize outdated buildings and expand services with the new Cancer Treatment Center, the Foundation is excited to rejuvenate our work by:
  • bringing on new board members
  • creating a Friends group, and
  • raising $1.5 million toward a linear accelerator, which allows cancer patients who need radiation to stay close to home for their treatment 
Jefferson Healthcare responded quickly and thoroughly to the care of our community throughout the pandemic; Thank a health care worker and administrator for all the ways they created new services to keep us safe, while continuing to provide all the other routine and emergency care our family, friends, and neighbors need.
