"You have no idea how much stress you are relieving for me through these times!" ~Jefferson Healthcare employee

You may have seen the recent reports that adults in their late 20's to early 40's are suffering the most stress from the COVID-19 crisis. It's easy to see why. Many in this generation are worried about the health of their parents and grandparents, have dependent children at home, and are experiencing severe disruptions in their careers – including in healthcare.

Throughout Jefferson Healthcare, we see our employees facing these same ordeals. Most of our hospital and clinical services are open again, and thankfully most our team is back to work. But with the uncertain landscape for school and limited childcare options, it can be difficult to maintain a regular schedule and make ends meet.

Whatever their role or their age, Jefferson Healthcare's dedicated people work hard to keep us all healthy and safe. They are our nurses, registrars, cooks and nutritionists; our lab staff, financial counselors, medical assistants and care coordinators. From oncology to dental, physical therapy to primary care, these incredible people give their best every day for the health and well-being of our community. We need them and we rely on them, Their work touches every life in Jefferson County.

Working parents in all sectors are facing huge challenges with sustaining their jobs. We invite you to help them today.

Since the start of the pandemic, community donations have helped Jefferson Healthcare employees through this demanding time by providing meals, coffee breaks, and supplies and resources for stress relief. You've also provided financial assistance for childcare and summer day camp. Please join us to replenish these funds as our employees navigate the "next normal" of school, pre-school, and childcare this fall.

Thank you so much for lifting our healthcare workers up, as they proudly, bravely, and safely serve our community now and into the future.

"I have had to miss shifts due to not having childcare as much as I need it. Thank you for helping us add the extra day for our son."

"For a single parent, childcare costs are a huge struggle and I am beyond grateful for this assistance."

"How much should I give?"
Donations of every amount truly make a difference. Employee assistance amounts currently range from $200 to $800 per month – covering up to 50% of their childcare costs, depending on the number of children in daycare and other factors. For those who would like to sponsor assistance for one family, please consider a one-time or monthly donation of $100-800. Monthly giving is especially helpful for childcare assistance as most parents pay by the month.
